ရှေးအခါက ယခုကဲ့သို့ တိရစ္ဆာန်နို့မျိုးဖြင့် မိမိတို့သားသမီးတို့ကို မမွေးမြူ၊ လူလူချင်း နို့ဖြင့်သာ မွေးမြူစေကြ၏။

ဗုဒ္ဓဝင် အဋ္ဌကထာတွင် ဖော်ပြချက်အရ မိမိကလေးအား နို့ထိန်း တိုက်ကျွေးမည့် သူမသည် - "မမြင့်လွန်း, မနိမ့်လွန်း, မကြုံလွန်း, မဆူလွန်း, မမည်းလွန်း, မဖြူလွန်း, ရင်သားမရှည်လွန်း, မတိုလွန်း, ချောင်းဆိုးပန်းနာ မရှိသူ" ဖြစ်စေရသည်။ [1]
