Kali Linux ဆိုသည်မှာ Penetration Testing နှင့် လုံခြုံရေးအတွက်ထုတ်လုပ်ထားသည့် Linux ပုံစံမူကွဲ တစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။ ယင်းအား Offensive Security Ltd မှ စတင် တည်ထောင်ခဲ့သည်။ Mati Aharoni, Devon Kearns နှင့် Raphaël Hertzog တို့သည် အဓိက ဒီပလော်ပါများဖြစ်ကြသည်။[2][3]

Kali အသုံးဝင်ခြင်းများ

Kali Linux ဆိုသည်မှာ Backtrack Linuxကို အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ထားသောGNU/Linuxအမျိုးအစား OSတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါသည်။ BackTrack Linux ကို အခြေခံသည်ဟုဆိုသော်လည်း Operating System တစ်ခုလုံး၏ မူရင်းအခြေခံသည် Debian Linux ဖြစ်သည်။[4] Debian Linux ကို အခြေခံကာ BackTrack Linux ၏ စွမ်းအားများဖြင့် ပေါင်းစပ်ထားသော စက်လည်ပတ်စနစ်အသစ်တစ်ခုဟုဆိုလျှင် ပြည့်စုံမှန်ကန်ပါသည်။ Kali တွင်သုံးသော package အများစုသည် Debian repositories မှဖြစ်သည်။[5] GNU/Linux အခမဲ့ပေါင်းများစွာထဲမှ Debian ကိုအခြေခံထားတဲ့ Kali ဟာ အခြား GNU/Linux OS များနဲ့မတူညီသည့်အချက်မှာ ရိုးရိုးသာမန် အသုံးပြုခြင်းထက် ကွန်ပျူတာအသုံးချ တိုက်ခိုက်မှုများ(Hacking) နှင့် လုံခြုံရေး ဦးစားပေးထားခြင်းပင်ဖြစ်သည်။
