ရွှေရောင်ခွေးအ (golden jackal) သိပ္ပံအမည် (Canis aureus) ကို အာဖရိက အရှေ့မြောက်ပိုင်း၊ ဥရောပ အရှေ့တောင်ပိုင်း နှင့် အလယ်ပိုင်း (ဩစတြီးယား နှင့် ဟန်ဂေရီအထိ)၊ အာရှမိုင်းနား၊ အရှေ့အလယ်ပိုင်း နှင့် အရှေ့တောင်အာရှတို့တွင် တွေ့ရသော ခွေးမျိုးရင်းဝင် သတ္တဝါ ဖြစ်သည်။။ အင်္ဂလိပ်ဘာသာတွင် common jackal ၊ Asiatic jackal ၊ thos ၊gold-wolf စသည်ဖြင့် အမည်အမျိုးမျိုး ခေါ်ဝေါ်ကြသည်။
