အာဖရိကရွှေကြောင်သည် အာဖရိကအနောက်ပိုင်းနှင့် အလယ်ပိုင်းရှိ မိုးသစ်တောများတွင် ကျက်စားသော ကြောင်ရိုင်းတစ်မျိုး ဖြစ်သည်။[3] ကဲရကယ်ကြောင်ရိုင်း၊ ဆာဗယ်ကြောင်ရိုင်းတို့နှင့် မျိုးနီးစပ်သည်။[4]

အပူပိုင်းသစ်တောများတွင် ကျက်စားပြီး မြစ်အနီးတဝိုက်တွင်တွေ့ရတတ်သည်။ အနောက်ဘက်တွင် ဆီနီဂေါလ်နိုင်ငံမှ အရှေ့ဘက်တွင် ကင်ညာနိုင်ငံအထိ၊ မြောက်ဘက်တွင် ဗဟိုအာဖရိကသမ္မတနိုင်ငံ၊ တောင်ဘက်တွင် အင်ဂိုလာနိုင်ငံ မြောက်ပိုင်းအထိ တွေ့ရသည်။ တစ်ကောင်တည်းသာ ကျက်စားတတ်သည်။[7]
