ကမ္ဘာ့ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနေ့
ကမ္ဘာ့ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနေ့ အား နှစ်စဉ်နှစ်တိုင်း ဇွန်လ ၅ ရက်နေ့တွင် ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်း ကျင်းပကြပြီး သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင်အား ထိန်းသိမ်း ကာကွယ်ခြင်းအား ဆောင်ရွက်ကြသည်။ ယင်းသည် ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ကာကွယ်ထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်းအတွက် လှုပ်ရှားမှုနှင့် တစ်ကမ္ဘာလုံးမှ ဂရုပြုပါဝင်လာစေရန် တွန်းအားပေးသည့် ကုလသမဂ္ဂ၏ အရေးပါသော လုပ်ငန်းစဉ်တစ်ခု ဖြစ်သည်။ ၁၉၇၄ ခုနှစ်တွင် စတင်ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ပြီး အဏ္ဏဝါညစ်ညမ်းမှုများ၊ လူဦးရေ အဆမတန်တိုးပွားမှုများနှင့် ကမ္ဘာကြီး ပူနွေးလာခြင်း၊ တောရိုင်းတိရစ္ဆာန် မှုခင်းများနှင့် စားသုံးမှုများကို ထိန်းသိမ်းနိုင်ရန် စသည့် ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ဆိုင်ရာ ကိစ္စရပ်များအား သတိမူလာစေရန် လှုံ့ဆော်ပေးရာတွင် အထင်ကရ ဖြစ်ခဲ့သည်။ ကမ္ဘာ့ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနေ့သည် နှစ်စဉ် နိုင်ငံပေါင်း ၁၄၃ နိုင်ငံကျော်တွင် ကျင်းပလေ့ရှိသည်။

သမိုင်းကြောင်း
၁၉၇၂ ခုနှစ်တွင် ပြုလုပ်သော ကုလသမဂ္ဂ လူ့ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ညီလာခံ ပထမရက်တွင် ကုလသမဂ္ဂအထွေထွေညီလာခံက ကမ္ဘာ့ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနေ့ကို ရွေးချယ်သတ်မှတ်ပေးခဲ့ပြီး နှစ်နှစ်အကြာ ၁၉၇၄ ခုနှစ်တွင် ပထမဆုံးအကြိမ် အဖြစ် "Only One Earth" ဆောင်ပုဒ်ဖြင့် ကျင်းပခဲ့သည်။ ၁၉၇၄ ခုနှစ်မှ စတင်ကာ နှစ်စဉ်ကျင်းပခဲ့ပြီးနောက် ၁၉၈၇ ခုနှစ်တွင် ပင်မလှုပ်ရှားမှုများကို နိုင်ငံအသီးသီးရွေးချယ်ကာ အလှည့်ကျ ကျင်းပခဲ့သည်။
